Location

Tucked away behind the main coast road, the farmhouse is 5Km from the small town of Alcantarilha and 6Km from the town of Lagoa. Silves, the ancient capital of the Algarve with Moorish castle perched atop the town, lies 7 km to the north.

Originally a sheep farm, the house is still surrounded by fields. 500m from the road, it is extremely quiet and remote from other houses. Bordered by a vineyard to the rear, on its right a field under agriculture sweeps down the valley. You can literally see for miles.

Interior

General: The farmhouse has been sympathetically restored, preserving the character and many of the original features of the building. The original 3ft thick walls are of solid stone and clay, offering protection from the summer heat. Most of the rooms display exposed beam and cane ceilings. Flooring throughout is with traditional sun-baked tiles.

Living room: 40ft long split-level living room with exposed beams.

Kitchen: Solid wood kitchen with gas hob and electric oven.

Bedroom 1: Double bed. En-suite bathroom finished with traditional Portuguese wall tiles. Bath and shower. Shaving point.
